Venuing
Man - who thought it would be so hard to find a place for July 2007. It's crazy!
The Museum of Nature is now booking for 2009, with the exception of one room. Hey , if there are any parents out there - you better book a hall for your child's wedding - even if they are only 12 right now. Craziness!
Chateau Cartier (a great place) already had every Saturday booked for summer 2007 (except one) a few months ago.
So it feels like there's total pressure (a fire under our asses) to find a venue. Hopefully my next update will be the date and place :)
But before I get to that - rain planning isn't so great either. Like how do you fit 200 people into a little corridor? hmm...

Most wedding guides or whatever you call them recommend that you book at least a year in advance, hence my initial worry when you said you wanted to get married next summer but hadn't booked by this summer.
But I definitely don't think it'll be impossible to find a place that will meet all your requirements spacewise, and be free for a date next year. As long as you're flexible and creative, I'm sure you'll come up with some great venue ideas!
I'll keep my eyes and ears open in the meantime!
aaahh you're close.. Go for June 07 for Chateau Cartier..... seems like you are getting the best deal and they are more negiotiable.

You're close to getting a venue. You had two places in mind when this was written( or that was my understanding). We talked about the Chateau Cartier which was after this blog went up but before i wrote my comment so my comment was also adding on our discussion..
