Info

Many people have been asking us about the Photographer, Florist, DJ, Cake, etc. at the wedding. I just realised that though I talked about them a little bit, I didn't really get to share the info. A few of our friends are getting married, so I'm mainly posting these links for them - but if you're interested here they are:

Our Photographer: Michael Weigand
Our Florist: Anika Arts & Flowers
Our Cake: Swiss Pastries
Our DJ: DJ Nick Nemr from Chin Radio DJ Nick Nemr from Chin Radio

I had great experiences with all of them, and would recommend them especially if you live in the Ottawa Area. Our Photographer was great, and easy to work with. Our Florist was Fantastic and really helped us pick out the most beautiful flowers (while keeping our budget in mind), definitely an excellent experience (and I get lots of compliments on the Flowers). As for the Cake, it was the best tasting wedding cake that I have ever had - and they also have the best value for what we wanted. The Music was fantastic, and it was such a relief to have it work out even with the Egyptian and English songs. Our Dance floor was packed.

If you have any questions or want more info, please let me know. =)

Cheers,
Nora

Purely Stats

Hello Everyone,

Thanks for your comments = they are great! =)
You might remember that I put in a web counter back in November (http://jeffandnora.blogspot.com/2006/11/new-counter_22.html)to see when I should update the site. It's been great so far(3200 hits), and I think now that the wedding is over way less people are reading the blog. Hence, I've been updating it less.

Anyway, you might already know this, but I love numbers! =) Really I do, it's kinda funny actually, but I like math and stats and stuff like that. I also love culture, like traveling to different countries, and learning about different cultures or languages. So anyway I decided to let you know some stats about which countries have visited the blog for the last 9.5 months (I think I did this back in February too (http://jeffandnora.blogspot.com/2007/02/my-counter.html). You Canadians will be happy to know you're way in the lead eh?! =)

Canada = 2520 (81%)
US = 387 (13%)
UK = 54 (2%)
Egypt = 25 (1%)

7 weeks

It's funny, how the countdown has no become a count up, but the time is still going by quickly. It's been almost seven 7 weeks now, and Jeff and I have almost settled in now.

I couldn't believe it, this morning I woke up, put things away, made a first aid kit, put out the garbage, watered the plants, had breakfast, and put away dishes all between the time when Jeff's alarm went off, and Jeff left for work. Usually before 8 am I'm sleeping. So perhaps this Jeff's a morning person has worn off on my oh so slightly. I'm still not giving up my animated Night Nora though, so I'm curious to see what happens.

It's kinda neat being a newly wed. Everyone wants to see you. So on average, I think we've had approximately 3-4 visits a week. And I think that yesterday's visit finally but me into the "Excellent Cook" category. Yay! It only took 6 weeks of practise! It's kinda neat though, since I love hanging out with Friends and Family. =) I just hope it all slows down again by the time school starts, I can barely keep up now.

*******

In other news, Allison and Pablo got engaged! =) We all knew this was going to happen, and don't they look cute? They've been engaged for about 2 weeks now, and it's exciting. The one tip I gave them was: enjoy it. Yup, enjoy the engagement for the first couple of months before getting into the hecticness (is that even a word?) of planning the wedding. I think it will work out very well though, as I'm pretty sure Allison knows what wedding planning involves.
Congrats guys! =)

Hope that all is going well with you. Now - The wedding is over, and I'm still updating my blog... what's up with that?

Cheers,
Nora
