I guess I should update this ....

Hey everyone,

It's been a busy week; trying to catch up on school, and get this play going as well as move in to our new place. We just got the internet going yesterday! =) So I'll hopefully be able to update this more often. In fact this could morph from a Wedding Blog, into a marriage blog. Hmmm....

I've been starting to get some wedding photos to trickling in. If you have any, please pass them along. The "non-professional pictures" are actually sometimes better than the professional ones.

I'm so glad that everyone had fun at the wedding! =) It's great to hear.
I personally had a blast, after sweating it our for a couple of hours in that crazy dress in the hot sun. I really hope to post some pictures of us soon.

We got our "professional" video already, and it's actually pretty good (except that he used his songs instead of the actual Music at the ceremony). The indoor reception, cocktail hour, were great! =) And it was awesome seeing what people were doing while we were out getting our photos taken. Those appetizers looked great. =)

It's been a busy week, Jeff and I just got the the keys to our new place. It's beautiful, so soon, I'll have some pictures (gotta get a camera first though). We're probably going to try moving in on Saturday (although it's Canada Day weekend). So dodge our calls if you don't feel like helping this weekend. lol

Jeff gave me his wedding present =). I got a beautiful cold for this upcoming week. hahaha

hope that all is well with you!

Cheers,
Nora =)

Phew

What a wonderful day!

The wedding turned out to be fantastic! =)

There were a few memorable hurdles in the way, but it turned out to be great! Surprises include : The arachnophobic scream in the car, Home hardware/depot convention scene, photos, and of course the bouquet.

The wedding tuned out great, with elements from both our traditions. We had an outdoor ceremony, with a ringbearer, and aisle, Music, etc. It all went by so fast, that I still haven't heard the piece of Music I walked down the isle to yet. lol
The cereomony was beautiful, in the nice bright sunshine. Everyone looked fantastic, epecially with their smiles. =) And it worked out great, haha, even our boiling photos - they were funny.

I'll have to update you on the reception soon, the bell just rang, so it's time to teach again (one week left)!

=)

Thanks,
Nora

1 day to go!

It's my wedding day tomorrow.
The funny thing, is that I'm not nervous, just exhausted. So what am I still doing up?
My Mom has about 20 things to ask me 3 times. So I've now shut myself in my roon, and I'm trying to get organised for tomorrow.

I think that all is well though, and it's my last single night?!

Cheers,
Nora

update

Oh yeah, my report cards were done yesterday! =)

1.5 days to go?

So how much can one do in a couple of days?
Well it's time to find out!

Actually, though there's lots to do, there are lots of people helping out. It's great! =) Like my friend Angela (who's not in the wedding party, but is an honourary bridesmaid, like Melissa) helped me out with seating stuff today; and earlier this week some friends helped me out with decorations.

I've discovered that it works out best when you give someone a specific job, to do on their own. Usually the next day, it turns out great, and ends up saving me a lot of time! And that's time that's really, really needed (to do other work). So Jeff and I really appreciate the help.

gotta cut this short, lots to do still!

Thanks,
Nora

Stagette

Wow - time is sure going by quickly! I've been told that there are only 2 days to go?! I guess that's why things have been so crazy busy! Here's a tip for all you superwomen out there: don't try to plan a wedding, buy a house, work part-time, get a new full-time job, and do report cards, and a million other things AT the SAME time. It's exhausting, I think I'm now at the point where I am too tired to focus on anything, yet too edgey to sleep. I still have a report card comment thing to finish up, amongst the 6 other demands that are due tomorrow.

My maid of honour is being really cute trying to give me advice like "oh, you should do some yoga to destress, it helps me." =) I believe it, but really what I should do is find time to sleep. So advice telling me to relax, sleep, hang out, or do yoga, when I have too many things on the go ends up just bothering me.

Anyway, back to Friday last week (I remember the night, which is great considering, I can't usually remember that far back). The girls planned a surprise stagette for me. Though, I considered cancelling dinner (due to the insane demands on me), it actually ended up working well. =)

Allison came over to bring me to my friend Melissa's house. I "just thought that we were doing dinner", but we ended up staying there, and a few others came to join later on. =) We ate Tacos, hung out, played games, watched a movie, and chatted. It was great being able to catch up with everyone, and be away from the hecticness of wedding planning/moving/living with parents/new job/report cards/ mediating/ etc. It was evident that Melissa had put in lots of work for the night - which was made obvious by the food, and interesting door prizes. LOL hahaha, you'll have to let me know how those go. It wasn't the traditional Henna party - but it was great.

Thanks =),
Nora

Hair Take 2

Well,
after the shenanigans of my first hair ordeal, I decided to give the hair salon by my house a try. I went there last Saturday for a hair cut, and it turned out great! :) She didn't complain once about my hair, in fact she loved it, and she took the time to make sure it's perfect.

On Sunday I had my hair trial, brought in my veil, brought in my picture, and told Sara about the on thing I wanted to change, from the picture. 1.5 hours later - it was perfect! =) Yay! So I booked her for the wedding, and since there will be 2 stylist working on us, we should all be out of there in 2 hours. (Much better than the 6 hours Faye was complaining about.) And, you know what? It's only a 2 minute walk! Yay!
*************************
Only 9 days to go?! Whoa, these last couple of months have just whizzed by! Things are coming along though, and I think Jeff and I will be set!
Thanks for everyone's support!

Cheers,
Nora
