48 days to go!

Can you believe that there are less than 7 weeks until the wedding?

I'm really excited about the replies, I love them! Lots of people coming. Actually in some cases more than we expected. I guess that it's because that people kind of invite their own guest rather than taking "Mr. John Doe" only as only one person, instead they take it as "Mr. John Doe and his guest". So it's interesting, I had thought that spending a year telling people that we weren't inviting dates would have done it, but I guess people just do what they want anyway. It's slightly frustrating, but I am sure that it will all balance out in the end anyway. Well I hope ;) lol.

Even though we've done a lot, there's still lots to do. Finalise the cake (it was $200 more than we anticipated), the Wedding week's schedule, seating, program, decorations, and following up with the guests, 75 other things. But it's coming along nicely. I even figured out where to go for hair that day. I think that Faye (the hairdresser), will do a fantastic job! So if I can't do my own hair, this is the next best thing. =)

My Mom is starting to look for her dress now (yeah, 7 weeks before, I'm still in shock), but I think it's because one of her friends harrasses her about it a few times a week. Aww procrastination, now I know where you came from. LOL Yeah I'll have to figure out the dress colors of the Mom's soon too - that'll be another item to add to list.

All is going well, and I'm still excited! Time is flying by! =) I can't wait to see everyone at the wedding!

Cheers,
Nora

mmm Cake

Yay!

We found a yummy, beautiful, tasty, eye-catching, palette pleasing, delicious cake! =)
And it only took one year!

Hahaha, do you remember my post about Cake a month ago? well...
We finally tested, tried, and analysed some cake. Yup, so now we are ordering our mouth-watering cake, and you are in for a tasty treat. I'm actually really excited about the wedding, and find that the countdown is passing by much quicker now. Can you believe that there's only 8 weeks to go? Yup, I think/hope the next 56 days are going to go by much quicker than the past 8 weeks.

Though all the big stuff has now been taken care of, there are still A LOT of little things left. These little things though time-consuming, are lots of fun! =)

It's so exciting getting the replies! Keep them coming, I'd have to say that my neighbours were probably the quickest to reply - can you blame them?

Yup, so 8 weeks until the Big Day.

Cheers,
Nora

Engaging Recap

Jeff and I have now been engaged for a year (Hurray, =) yipee!). It actually went by a lot quicker than I expected - remember my first post on this blog last April?

So how did it go?
Well last year, Jeff asked me after a nice meal at Fratelli's. It was a beautiful sunny April Day (unlike the snow accumilation and rain we have today). Jeff was planning to ask me at my parent's house, but I managed to unknowingly stop that plan. We did go back later in the evening, and as far as they know they were the
first know, so keep that part quiet ;)

The day was beautiful, the meal was fantastic, and there was so much excitement! I of course had to phone my sista Allison right away to tell her the news, but had to leave it on her voice mail. We did get to see her before she checked her messages though. She was the Fiddler, in the "Fiddler on the Roof" Musical we were watching her perform in that evening. I had never seen the girl jump so high, until I told her the big news (soon she'll have her own big news too). It was an exciting evening, and we've managed to keep it going until today.

It's been over 60 posts, and only 60 days to go! =)
I'm still excited!

To Do Items

It's really fun how, the more you check off from your "To Do" checklist, the more stuff starts popping up on it. I remember first going through the list thinking 200 items?! That's insanity!!! And now we are scamerping through them, only to find, that we need to add more?

Yesterday I got to check out a bridal show with my Mom (now you know where I get the procrastination from). I had gone to it back in September, but thought it would be cool to bring my Mom to check out what's there. Now I thought I was slow, and anylitcal, considering different possbilities, as I stroll through a show, or even mall. But, my Mom is actually SLOWER. Yup, that's right. I got to consider and calculate most options twice before I managed to get outta there. lol Now we even have to consider birds - lol. My Mom is so cute and hilarious. =)

Anyway, I later checked out a bridal event that they were hosting at Micheal's. And there's so much cool stuff that you can make! =) This spells trouble though, since I of course want super cool decorations, and hand made stuff. So anyway, I've had to add a few more things to the checklist now: buy fabric for guest box, make place table settings, get vases from ikea, etc. I think it will be well worth it though. =)

Cheers,
Nora
